GENDER REVEAL
So today was our gender reveal party!
Here are a few pictures from the beginning...
So our original plan was to pop a balloon full of confetti to reveal whether baby was a boy or girl. However, when my sister went to pick up the balloon it was see through! She knew instantly what we were having! Instead she went and got silly string and we had the grandparents stray us to find out whether the baby was a boy or girl. The video of the silly string is here. This is also our facebook announcement video.
WE ARE HAVING A BOY!!!!
Walker Michael Southall, we can not wait to meet you <3

I am a college graduate!
I am now an alumni of the University of Oklahoma. Let me just take that in for a moment while I show you a few pictures.
I can not believe I have my degree! Longest 5 years ever! I am actually having a hard time letting the last few years go! For many reasons: Norman was a part of my life and now I will maybe go there once a year, and thats only because my sister goes to school there. Norman was the place were I lived for 4 years. I'm just not good with change.
Graduation as a whole was amazing! I laughed, cried, and hugged a lot! I will miss all of the people that I have sat next too and gotten to know over these last two years in the social work program. I pray that we all go out a make a difference in the world <3

Our children are our legacy
To begin with, my great-grandma died last week. She was 92 and had a fantastic life, so my dad and I went down to Iowa to celebrate her and the life she was able to live. I was fortunate enough to get to spend quality time with my dad, meet some cousins that I had never had a chance to meet (there are 25 great grandchildren on that side of the family), let everyone see my baby bump because this is the first great great grandbaby, and learn a very valuable lesson.I watched my as my grandmother and all of her (six) siblings gathered around my great grandma and pray, cry, and hug each other and I realized how important having children really is. Without children, who will love you in the end? Who will be the person that plans your funeral, cherishes your pictures, and tells stories about you for years to come? At that moment, I knew that it's because of your children that you never really die here on earth. We sat around after the funeral and told stories about my great grandma, some that that I had never heard. Your children are your legacy, the most important thing you leave this world with. I am carrying my legacy in my womb right now, what am awesome thought. I could be carrying a potential doctor, lawyer, or priest in my womb, but one thing is for certain: My baby will remember me when I am no longer here. He or she will carry my legacy through story telling to their children and so forth.

15 weeks
This week I don't have a picture for you. I left my car at the shop with my chalk in it :(
Baby news:
-I think I felt movement! I'm starting to feel more sure that I felt movement. It feels like tiny little flutters or pokes. So exciting.
-Baby S can see light this week and will move away from it! He/she can also hear as of Wednesday. I can't wait to be able to talk to baby.
Life news:
-One of my best friends got engaged tonight! I am sooo excited for her! This was long over due. She is 39 weeks pregnant with their second child. I can not wait to help plan this wedding.
-I graduate in a WEEK!
I believe I have the nursery all planned, but I won't reveal until we know baby's gender( May 25th!) :)
-My great grandmother passed away last night. I will be traveling with my dad to Iowa for the funeral this week. Very sad.
I have been very busy this past week. After next week life should slow down a bit. <3
